CONGLETON Town’s return to the Northern Premier League didn’t go the way the Bears had planned as they went down to defeat against Trafford.
In an open first half with both sides having chances, it was the visitors who broke the deadlock after 24 minutes when Rio Clegg nipped in to score.
Trafford doubled the lead just after the hour mark when the dangerous Mike Burke pounced on the ball to steer it past the debutant goalkeeper Ayrton Best.
