DANNY Elliott’s ninth goal in five games proved the difference as Macclesfield extended their lead at the top of the NPL table with victory over struggling Warrington Rylands.
It was also a late birthday present for Macc boss Robbie Savage, who turned 50 on Friday.
It took 12 minutes for the Silkmen to take the lead. Elliott found space on the left-hand side of the box before firing past Luke Pilling.
