■ A GOAL in the opening quarter of an hour by James Dwyer earned Avro a fifth win in six league games, taking them to the fringes of the play-off picture.
Bootle started strongly, but when David Fitzpatrick swung in a corner from the right, Dwyer was able to convert from close range to give his side a lead they rarely looked like giving up.
Bucks striker Danny Mitchley forced a good save from Avro keeper Grant Shenton as the interval approached, but it was the Ro who looked more likely to double their advantage in the second period.
