IN A thrilling contest of two halves, Leek Town overcame Hebburn Town to earn three precious points and move further away from danger.
The Hornets started strongly and had their first major chance in the eighth minute.

A penalty shout was turned down for a push on Amar Purewal before, on 43 minutes, goalkeeper Dino Visser made a crucial save to deny Purewal.
