STRUGGLING Whitby Town were left to rue some missed first-half opportunities after second-placed Worksop produced a deadly double salvo at the death.
It was the visitors who showed first. After a cagey opening, Vaughan Redford headed wide of the mark, inside nine minutes.
At the other end, Aaron Haswell’s left wing cross was met with a powerful nod, just over, from Lewis Hawkins.
Around the half hour, Haswell then had a chance of his own but Tommy Taylor made a terrific save to keep the scores goalless.
