THANKFULLY, at last, there appears to be light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to sorting out the mess at Southport FC.
Local businessman Phil Hodgkinson wants to buy the club and presented his proposals to fans at two packed open meetings.
Many fans are now campaigning for a Hodgkinson takeover and as the new season gets underway the campaign will intensify.
Never in the history of Southport FC have the fans been so united.
