BANBURY United welcomed AFC Rushden & Diamonds with four ex-Banbury players in their line-up, as they looked to move closer to the playoffs.
After six minutes Nabil Shariff’s header was pushed over the bar by Jack Harding from a corner.
Banbury’s first chance came after 12 minutes when Luke Fairlamb shot just wide of the far post, and Greg Caziboni’s shot was saved by Sian Tyler shorly afterwards.
