ISMAIL YAKUBU has resigned for Merthyr Town.
The former Barnet defender, 36, left The Met Coaches Community Stadium the season before last due to the pandemic.
He subsequently joined JD Cymru Premier side Penybont, where he enjoyed a fine campaign.
The Nigerian-born defender also played for AFC Wimbledon before a spell at Newport County.
He has also played for Woking, Hemel Hempstead Town, Kingstonian and Hayes & Yeading.
Merthyr manager Dean Clarke said: “I’m thrilled to welcome someone of Yak’s stature back to the football club.”
