STALWART Jim Cockerton is determined to bring back stability to Evesham United’s first team in one of his final acts as chairman.
It has been a turbulent season on the pitch for the Southern League Division One South outfit with Lee Driver-Dickerson, brought in as manager from league rivals Slimbridge last month, leaving by “mutual consent” after just 32 days in charge.
A week later it was announced that Cockerton, the figurehead of the committee-ran Robins, would be standing down at the end of the season having spent the bulk of his 30 years with the club as chairman.
