■ LOWLY Wantage put up a strong defensive performance to nullify Aylesbury United in a poor game.
The Ducks came closest to opening the scoring in the ninth minute when a crossfield pass from David Ozobia found Anthony Ball. His cross was punched clear, but only as far as Alexandru Dubriluc, who saw his goal-bound shot deflected wide.
Despite having the majority of the ball, the final pass was lacking too often, with James Foster having a quiet game in the visitor’s goal.
