■ NORTH Leigh boosted their play-off ambitions with a hard fought but entertaining victory at St Neots.
The home side were perhaps unlucky not to get a share of the spoils as they battled well, but lacked that vital finish in front of goal.
The visitors just shaded the first half which finished goalless, although an injurytime Roger James free-kick beat the home keeper, but rebounded off the crossbar.
The winning goal came two minutes after the break when a defence splitting pass by Jordan Thomas freed James and he finished clinically.
