DAN Hayfield’s first-half penalty proved enough for Tiverton to see off ten-man Poole in a feisty encounter.
Hayfield coolly slotted his spot-kick past keeper Mark Childs after Andrew Watkins had been brought down. Tiverton should have scored earlier, but Jordan Lam inexplicably failed to hit the target after Kyle Egan’s run and cross put the chance on a plate.
