NEW signing Theophilus Ofori played a key role as Ware closed the gap on leaders Berkhamsted.
It was a match which rose to the standard expected of a meeting between the top two, with Ware taking the honours in the first half, but having their backs to the wall for much of the second.
Ofori showed no sign of nerves on his debut and, as early as the third minute, worked his way to the bye-line before laying the ball back to Freddy Moncur, whose shot was deflected in for the opener by Leigh Rose.
