■ BASHLEY battled to get their pitch fit after heavy rain – then wished they hadn’t. With ambitions to gatecrash the play-offs, Bashley started favourites. However, the Mitres had first use of a fierce wind. After ten minutes, Ross Langworthy made the first of many fine contributions. Lurking wide left, he brilliantly controlled keeper Lewis Clayton’s clearance and played it across for Archie Haskayne to volley in.
Harrison Reeves then hit a wind-assisted screamer out of Ross Casey’s reach. A minute later it was 3-0. C...
