WARE inflicted a first home defeat of the campaign on Cirencester and climbed into the play-off places as a reward.
They enjoyed a pinch of good fortune for the game’s only goal after 39 minutes, when the ball appeared to skim into the net off Ciren man Joshua Nelmes’ head.
Ciren had started well, going close when Jake Lee’s header from Luca Robinson’s corner was kept out by Fred Burbidge.
They survived a scare though when Ramiah Mills went clear and chipped onto the crossbar.
