■ FOR the first 15 minutes, the Citizens looked likely to win this match after recent signing Lewis Taffe gave them a deserved lead. However, two injuries in quick succession to Ryan Sellers and Matty Witchelow undid City’s game plan.
Taffe netted from close range, only for Ashton Grant to level the scores with a fine strike ten minutes later.
Barton never looked back. Sellers gave away a penalty which Lucas Kirkpatrick dispatched to make it 2-1 to the visitors, the City centre-half going off injured following his challenge.
