Mickleover Sports host Stratford Town in Saturday’s match at the Don Amott Leisure Group Arena looking to bounce back from defeat last time out in the Southern League Premier Central.
Mickleover Sports, who sit second in the league after 37 games, fell to a 3-1 away defeat to Stourbridge on April 6.
They face a Stratford side who also lost their last match, a 1-0 defeat to Redditch United, and who sit fourth in the table.
With 73 goals in 37 games so far this season, Mickleover Sports are scoring more than average in the league with 2.0 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 41 goals at a rate of 1.1 per game.
Stratford are also above average scorers, with 1.7 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.5. They have conceded 1.4 goals per game.
The home side are in fantastic form in the Southern League Premier Central, with five wins and one loss from their last six games.
With three wins and a draw over that period, Town’s form is worse – they have taken 10 points from 18, compared to Mickleover Sports’ 15.
In the last three years, Mickleover Sports and Stratford have played each other on three occasions. Mickleover Sports won one of them and Stratford the other.
Their last meeting was on November 4, when Stratford won 3-2 at home.
