Southern Premier Central fixtures announced

Southern Premier

Biggleswade Town’s first match back in Southern League Premier Central is home to last season’s runners-up AFC Telford United.

The Waders won Division One Central by three points while Telford missed out on an instant return to National League North in the play-offs, beaten by Leamington in the final.

Promoted duo Spalding United and Bedford Town face each other on the opening day. Spalding won Pitching In NPL Midlands while Bedford were runners-up in Southern Division One Central, earning an immediate return to Step 3 via the play-offs.

Bishop’s Stortford, relegated after a miserable campaign in National League North, open at home to Alvechurch, with fellow demoted side Banbury United starting their campaign against AFC Sudbury.

Lowestoft Town’s first game back at Step 3 after two years in the Isthmian League is at home to Redditch United, who missed out in the play-offs last term.

Harborough Town’s first game at this level sees them host Stamford while reprieved Hitchin Town open against Bromsgrove Sporting.

The division’s remaining fixtures see Halesowen Town host Kettering Town, Royston Town at home to Barwell, Stourbridge v St Ives Town and Stratford Town taking on Leiston.
