Merthyr Town host Hayes and Yeading United in Saturday’s match looking to bounce back from defeat last time out in the Southern League Premier South.
Merthyr, who sit fourth in the league after 30 games, fell to a 3-2 home defeat to Bracknell Town on February 10.
With 64 goals in 30 games so far this season, Merthyr are the league’s highest scorers with 2.1 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 44 goals at a rate of 1.5 per game.
Town are in bad form in the Southern League Premier South, with one win and five losses from their last six games.
With four wins and two losses over that period, United’s form is much better – they have taken 12 points from 18, compared to the home team’s three.
Their last meeting was on October 21, when they played out a 1-1 draw.
