NEWCASTLE continued their push for a play-off place with a 2-0 victory over local rivals Market Drayton Town.
The visitors started brightly with Will Whieldon firing over but Castle took the lead when Ricky Bridge bent a free-kick into the top corner.
Castle doubled their lead when Niall Green won the ball and set up Chris Baker who coolly beat the keeper.
Town keeper Harry Pickering saved well from Whieldon before Leigh Skellern was just wide for the home side.
The home side looked in control throughout the match as their push for a playoff slot...
