■A GOALmidway through the second half was enough to maintain Lancaster’s championship hopes after an inspired firsthalf performance by keeper Max Dearnley had threatened to deny them.
Dearnley made his first contribution to the game after 15 minutes when he made a diving save to keep out a Louis Mayers header.
