■OSSETT remain in third place after a comfortable win over Prescot Cables.
Jason Yates twice went close before opening the scoring on 43 minutes with a penalty after James Edgar was sent off for a foul in the area.
Six minutes into the second half Ossett went 2-0 up with a Tyrone Day header. Cables goalkeeper Nosa Aghayere had to be at his best to deny Danny Frost, and the visitors got a foothold in the game in the 66th minute when Lloyd Dean found the net.
But the goal only seemed to inspire Ossett, with Nathan Curtis and Alex Peterson both going close before Frost ...
