COLWYN Bay became the first side this season to take points off high-flying South Shields, and maintained their own unbeaten league record in the process.
Skipper Sam Barnes gave Bay the lead inside 10 minutes and Astley Mulholland showed great pace to round a defender and rifle in a second seven minutes later - Jack Hindle added the third from the penalty-spot.
