■ LINCOLN United edged a game devoid of any real quality at home to Kidsgrove Athletic.
Lincoln started brightly and Dave Parton was forced into a save from a free kick to keep the early score level.
That was just as Kidsgrove were getting into the game, going close with strikes from Kyle Diskin and Dan Skelton.
But Rob Norris did give Lincoln the lead with an ingenious backheel finish.
Minutes later Grove were dispossessed and Andy Toyne ensured they were duly punished as he added a second with a neat finish.
