ROSS’ SWIFT EXIT

JUST 17 days after being named as manager of Northern Counties East League Premier Division outfit Parkgate, Ross Shelton has quit the job. He resigned after last
Saturday’s 6-0 home defeat to Thackley extended their losing run to eight matches, leaving them in the relegation zone.
Shelton, who had previously been caretaker manager, threw in the towel after a meeting with chairman Albert Dudill immediately after the game.
