HILL were ten minutes from victory against Margate – but still managed to improve on their recent run of poor form.
The Hillians started brightly creating a number of good early chances, although Margate responded well.
The hosts were unfortunate not to benefit from a goalmouth scramble in the Margate box.
It nearly led to the opener, but the ball wouldn’t fall for Lee Harding.
Margate created many chances of their own, with Hillians skipper Gary Elphick preventing a certain Margate goal, with a brilliant last-ditch tackle.
