SITTINGBOURNE started fast and saw out a comfortable win at East Grinstead.
The visitors took a deserved lead on 31 minutes through a smart finish from Kane Rowland.
After a change of shape at the start of the second half Grinstead had the best of things and equalised when a great chip from the edge of the box by Jordy Mongoy left Harry Brooks in the Sittingbourne goal rooted to the spot.
Parity was short-lived though, when Miles Cornwell stabbed the loose ball home from a corner.
