■SALISBURY were good value for the points after an action-packed first half.
They took a 10th-minute lead as Sam Roberts set up Owen Howe who thundered a great shot beyond Paulton keeper Alexis Andre.
They added to the score six minutes later as Lewis Benson’s cross from the right found left-back Eddie Perrett who drove home.
On 45 minutes Rovers were awarded a penalty as James Byrne was fouled, but saw his spot kick saved by Charlie Searle.
Then the home left-back Josh Cann was unlucky to be given two yellow cards and sent off.
