ATHERTON COLLIERIES 2 CLITHEROE 5
A MELTDOWN in the Collieries defence in the second half saw Clitheroe coast to victory.
Colls opened the scoring just short of the half hour with a long distance howitzer from Chris Lynch.
The lead lasted just three minutes when Colls old boy George West capitalised on a defensive howler to stroke in from ten yards out.
The visitors turned the screw after the break, West grabbed his brace and then Alex Newby scored a delicate chip. Darrhyl Mason pulled a goal back but any home team hope was short lived
