SOUTH WEST leaders
Taunton Town have boosted their title hopes with the signing of British Army captain Keith Emmerson. The 34-year-old, who can play anywhere in defence and midfield, left Evo-Stik Southern Premier side Farnborough after 18 months last week, scoring the winning goal against Banbury United in his final match for the Hampshire club.
Emmerson, the former Poole Town and Camberley Town player, mutually agreed to his release from Boro in order to be with his young family who are based in Somerset, less than an hour from the Peacocks’ Wordsworth Drive ground.
