EDDIE DINES’ deft right-foot finish lifted Tooting off the foot of the table.
However, the Terrors had to rely on a combination of keeper Matte Pierson and the Fetcham Grove mud to repel a late Kingstonian rally.
The rain-sodden pitch looked perfectly playable when Tooting had the ball, but less so when Ks were in possession.
Danny Bassett hit the post on 15 minutes, his cross deceiving Ks custodian Rob Tolfrey.
