LILYWHITES EYEING UP THE SENIOR RANKS WITH PROMOTION

SKEGNESS Town are hoping to leap up the pyramid after winning five Lincolnshire League titles this century.
The Lilywhites, who won the championship in 2006–07, 2007–08, 2013–14, 2015–16 and 2016-17, have long yearned to bring senior football to the ‘so bracing’ seaside resort.
The club, who were formed in 1946 as successor to the town’s two pre-war clubs Skegness United and Skegness Blue Rovers, had one season in the Northern Counties East League, in 1983, after previously competing in the former Midland League from 1958-82.
