WITH relegation threatening both sides this was always going to be a tense affair.
Burgess Hill made the decisive break with the opening goal in the 20th minute. Connor Tighe played in a free-kick from the right which Lucas Rodrigues headed powerfully down into the corner.
Burgess Hill were coping comfortably with the Lowestoft forward line and always looked dangerous on the counter with Lee Harding prominent in most of their attacks.
