BOTH teams started well and were positive from the off, but it was Thurrock who triumphed.
Aaron Condon went closest to opening the scoring with a thunderous strike which cannoned back off of the crossbar.
Thurrock took the lead, however, on 30 minutes when a direct ball was well controlled by striker George Winn who finished well to make it 1-0 to the visitors.
Regent came back in the second half equalising after good build up play found Billy Hunt who headed down onto the defender’s hand. Hunt took the consequent penalty and made it 1-1.
