CHASETOWN strengthened their grip on a play-off position with a comfortable 5-1 home victory over Belper Town.
The Scholars, ending their Belper curse with this first-ever home win over the Derbyshire side, started strongly and took the lead after seven minutes when Oli Hayward’s right-wing cross was headed in off the post by Nick Wellecomme.
But despite dominating the first half territorially, the home side soon found themselves pegged back, with Lee Williamson netting a 25th-minute equaliser for The Nailers.
