AFC RUSHDEN and Diamonds edged closer to promotion. Rushden went close when Ryan Robbins had a long-range opportunity saved on the second attempt by Josh Bexon. However, Bexon was at fault on the stroke of half-time as he fumbled another effort and Joel Gyasi made no mistake.
Gyasi went close in the early stages of the second half and Luke Fairlamb was unlucky when his effort hit the side netting.
Cambridge tried to get back into the game but all too often the final ball was missing and they couldn’t break down a wellorganis...
