DAN Rumens’ stoppage-time strike salvaged a point for Enfield, in a game largely bereft of goal-scoring chances.
For a fixture with nothing but pride at stake, the match began at a frenetic pace.
Enfield started the brighter, with Sam Youngs showing some nice touches, but gradually Merstham took control.
However, the first half ended with neither keeper having to make a save worthy of the name.
That changed shortly after the restart, as it took a superb one-handed save low to his right by Merstham keeper Ashlee Jones to deny Matt Johnson.
