TOOTING were consigned to the drop despite a spirited display in a game which largely matched the drab, overcast conditions at Imber Court.
A draw would have been enough for the Terrors to overhaul relegation rivals Burgess Hill after a dramatic end to the Hillians’ afternoon. But even that looked unlikely from the very first minute.
Met Police went ahead when Liam Enver-Marum showed good strength at the far post to hold off a Tooting defender and finished well in to the far corner from a tight angle.
