■BOWERS looked impressive, but it wasn’t enough for automatic promotion.
They scored four goals in the first 25 minutes. Lewis Manor netted after 22 seconds to reach 100 goals for Bowers, before Ben Sartain’s shot hit the post and went in off Tim Brown.
Bowers went three up through Jamie Dicks before Manor scored his second. Brentwood pulled one back before half-time through Thomas Ranger.
The second half was largely a non-event and Bowers comfortably secured all three points, but will have to settle for a play-off place.
