BISHOP Auckland upset leaders Dunston UTS on Tyneside, ending their 17-game unbeaten start in the league and knock them off top spot.
The Two Blues hadn’t lost away in the league since September and although the first half ended goalless, the visitors had been reduced to ten men with Darren Richardson sent off.
But Bishop Auckland were awarded a penalty with just under 20 minutes left, after Dan Capewell used a hand to block Shaun Ryder’s shot. Andrew Johnson converted from the spot and Bishop hung on for the win.
