HEDNESFORD Town owner Steve Price said it was ‘the right option for all concerned’ to hand the manager’s job to former assistant Gary Hayward after a brief period in caretaker charge.
Hayward, 52, was assistant to Nicky Eaden before his unexpected departure last month, and took charge of the Pitmen’s final two games of the Northern Premier League season.
