NATHAN Curtis’ late goal secured Belper Town a remarkable 4-3 victory in the Northern Premier League South East Division away at Market Drayton Town on the opening day.
Belper’s Zephaniah Thomas opened the scoring when he slotted home a fourth-minute penalty.
However, Harvey Howell equalised from close range for Market Drayton on 19 minutes and despite numerous chances, the scores were level at the break.
Belper came out firing after half-time as Curtis restored his side’s lead but Howell netted his second of the match to make the score 2-2.
