CHAIRMAN Dannie Cahill has paid tribute to manager Lee Knibbs after he opted to step down in charge of Coventry Sphinx.
Knibbs quit the Midland League Premier club following the game against Nuneaton Griff on Wednesday night with the club 16th in the table, with as many as six games in hand on their rivals.
Knibbs continued a family legacy at the club, following in the footsteps of father Willie and Cahill said: “Everyone connected to the club are disappointed with his decision but at the same time totally respect his reasons why.
