LEADERS Ascot United moved seven points clear at the top with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Abbey Rangers.
The game was one of only two in the top flight to survive the weather and, as Abbey’s grass pitch was left unplayable following the deluge of Storm Jorge, the club agreed with both Ascot and the league to move the fixture to the adjacent 3G pitch.
