WANTAGE failed to build on their opening day win as they gave gave Bedworth an early helping hand. James Webster put past his own keeper only seven minutes in to give Bedworth the early impetus.
Jack Alexander headed a corner over for Wantage but it was Bedworth who looked more threatening and notched a second after 31 minutes through Jorrin John.
Ryan Knight gave Wantage hope early in the second period as he halved the deficit but, although they were much improved, Bedworth were reasonably comfortable.
