■ CIRENCESTER wasted little time in opening the scoring against Hertford with a goal after eight minutes for Reegan Messenger, who latched on to an industrial Harry Burns throw, before providing a looping header over goalkeeper Luke Mewitt.
It took until the 68th minute for Cirens goalkeeper Stuart Nelson to be called into any real action as he tipped over a challenging effort.
Two minutes later, Hertford got one back though as Kolade Salaudeen tapped home easily following link up on the right.
