DARREN Manning is overjoyed after bagging his “dream job” – taking over as boyhood club Grays Athletic’s new boss.
The Blues parted company with former Gillingham, Stevenage and Hornchurch boss Mark Stimson and acted quickly to lure Manning away from Isthmian North rivals Basildon United.
Manning was brought up as a Grays fan and followed the club across the country during a hugely successful period in their history.
The 34-year-old says managing the club was an opportunity he could not turn down.
