LEEK Town will spend Christmas Day four points clear at the top of the division after a narrow victory at Widnes.
Louis Keenan’s goal after just nine minutes was enough to secure victory for the visitors who enjoyed a largely comfortable afternoon in Cheshire.
Widnes were restricted to mainly half-chances and while they were always in the game, they were held at arm’s length for the most part.
