WIMBORNE narrowly beat Bishop’s Cleeve at New Cuthbury to ensure they hold top spot at Christmas.
The Magpies made a flying start to the game and took the lead in the third minute after Oakley Hanger crossed the ball to Sam Griffen at the backpost, who slotted the ball beyond Liam Armstrong.
Cleeve’s Jay Malshanskyj twice had the ball in the net, but both efforts were ruled offside.
