SHEFFIELD FC wona hard-earned victory over ten-man Liversedge, running out narrow victors in a messy affair.
The home side had a goal ruled out in the first half, Benni Ndlovu judged offside, after turning home a rebound from a Stephen Brogan strike.
Liversedge were reduced to ten men after 29 minutes, with Liam Hardy picking up a second yellow card, in what looked to be a harsh call for simulation.
The hosts took the leadin the 69th minute, Brogan slipping the ball through to Nathan Modest, who pushed beyond debutant keeper Jake Oram.
